Hotel Sumadija

Dear Management Team of Best Western Hotel Sumadija, I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Erika Maki, and I recently stayed at your hotel from December 12 - 27 . I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with several aspects of my stay, and I believe it is important to bring these matters to your attention for resolution. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the commendable efforts of your housekeeping staff in assisting me during my recovery from illness. They did an excellent job in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring my comfort. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted my overall experience: Breakfast Inconsistencies: The breakfast service during my stay was inconsistent and substandard, especially during periods of high occupancy. I faced challenges in communicating my breakfast preferences, and the lack of coordination among staff on Christmas morning was particularly disappointing. Communication Regarding Breakfast Services: I extended my stay based on the information provided by your receptionist, assuring me that there would be no issues with breakfast services on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, this was not the case, leading to confusion and inconvenience. Billing Error and Unhelpful Response: A billing error occurred when I extended my reservation for my daughter and her boyfriend. Despite my attempt to address this matter with your reception, the response was unhelpful and dismissive, leaving me dissatisfied as a paying guest. Room Maintenance Issues: While the rooms were generally clean, I encountered issues such as a malfunctioning toilet, a missing curtain hook, and the need to request a fridge. These issues, combined with the overall service concerns, contributed to a less-than-ideal experience. I appreciate that your sales department and reception staff inquired about how they could assist me during my stay. However, the recurring issues and the lack of effective resolution have prompted me to escalate this matter to your attention. I have sent a letter to your sales department to assist in at least formally apologizing into these concerns and a timely response outlining the corrective actions you plan to take. Unfortunately with no response I find myself needing to at least have a voice about my concerns. I believe in the reputation and standards of your brand, and I trust that you will address these issues promptly. I look forward to hearing from you within regarding the resolution of these matters. Stay away from this place. The food can’t even be called food, it was covered in salt…so much salt you can’t even eat it. The rooms smelled like old cheese, farts and something else that I can’t mention here since kids use google too…the towels, bedsheets, blankets were DIRTY. My friend had blood on their pillow and the reception didn’t care at all.

The worst hotel ever. Part of the main door is falling appart, the air conditioning is very noisy just over the bed (who designed this?). The lift’s noise will wake you up at 6am every day. The breakfast is surrounded by tour operators group every morning, better wake up early if you want to have anything left to eat. I asked to change rooms, excuses have been going on for 4 days now and no solution have been found. Run away, there is plenty more hotels in Belgrade better than that one.
